As we prepare for the second semester and (hopefully) the beginning of construction on our new cafeteria and kitchen, we are making some changes to the parking lot, which will impact some students who are driving to school.
We have designated approximately half of the 4 rows nearest the Gym entrance and tennis courts as faculty/staff only parking from the beginning of the school day until the end of the school day. After the end-of-school traffic clears, students, parents, and visitors will be able to use these spots while attending practices, games, performances, etc. Students are still free to park in all non-designated spots in the parking lot and careful consideration was made to ensure that there is adequate parking for all driving students. Signs designating these spots have been installed at the ends and along the designated areas.
As we all get used to this change from the first semester, students are encouraged to arrive at school a few minutes early to make sure that they can find a parking spot and make it to class on time. The parking row in front of the school, the visitor’s lot, and parking on the west side of the school near the baseball fields, Jesuit residence, and rear of the school are not to be used by students during the school day.
Finally, all faculty and staff, parents, students and guests should only park in designated parking spots unless given individual and specific permission by school administration (this is typically limited to marked utility or maintenance vehicles). To ensure an efficient and safe campus for all, it is imperative to keep the roadway clear for emergency vehicles and deliveries. Any parking in non-designated parking spots may result in cars being towed at the owner's expense.
