2026-27 Indiana Choice Scholarship Program

Indiana is committed to expanding access to quality educational opportunities to all Indiana students. The Choice Scholarship Program provides scholarships, commonly referred to as vouchers, to eligible students in grades K-12 to help offset the cost of tuition at non-public schools that are participating in the Choice Scholarship Program. Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, the State of Indiana has announced that all eligible Indiana students will qualify for school vouchers, regardless of income.

Program Details

• To receive this scholarship, an application must be completed annually that contains proof of residency for each student. The State of Indiana requires that Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School prepare and submit the Indiana Choice Scholarship Application on your behalf.

• The value of the Choice Scholarship is based on the student’s public-school corporation of legal settlement.

• The State of Indiana has released the 2026-27 Estimated Award Amounts.

• Indiana’s Choice Scholarship Program funds students, not institutions. The state has made a commitment to allow parents to direct funds to the school of their choice.

Indiana Choice Scholarship Program Process

There is a multi-step process to receive Indiana Choice Scholarship funds.

STEP ONE - Families provide proof of residence for each individual student. Proof of residency deadline - April 30, 2026.

• This requires all applicants to provide proof of residency in the state of Indiana. The proof of residency must contain an address that is current and correct and must be provided by uploading/attaching one of the following items in the form linked below. 
  • Driver's license/State ID of parent/guardian completing form
  • Utility bill within the last 90 days
  • Current lease agreement or mortgage statement
  • 1040 within the last two years

Please note: A separate form with proof of residency must be completed for each student. Therefore, if a family has more than one child at Brebeuf Jesuit, the proof of residency form must be completed for each individual student.

STEP TWO - Brebeuf Jesuit Prepares and Submits the Indiana Choice Application

• The State of Indiana requires that Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School prepare and submit the Indiana Choice Scholarship Application on your behalf.

STEP THREE - Brebeuf Sends Electronic Forms for Signature (Tentative date: Early Summer)

• Once the application is submitted, the state provides Brebeuf Jesuit the final documents for electronic completion by parent/guardian. These will be sent to families via Adobe Sign and are required in order to receive funding.
