Summer Bridge Program

Door leading into the Deans Office

Brebeuf Jesuit’s Summer Bridge Program is a three-week experience designed to empower selected incoming ninth-grade students with an early academic foundation and an introduction to cura personalis, or care for the whole person. This program is for students who would benefit from an early introduction to our rigorous academic environment and our commitment to developing men and women for others.

In this program, participants will get a head start on the academic and social skills needed for a successful transition to high school. The program focuses on core subjects like english and math, but it also provides crucial instruction in study skills and college preparedness. Through these academic sessions and various team-building activities, students will build a strong foundation for Brebeuf’s academic expectations while also forming meaningful connections with their future peers and teachers. This sense of community and belonging is a key part of the program's goal.

The Summer Bridge Program is free to invited families through Lilly Endowment as part of their support to ensure our students’ academic preparedness and post-secondary success. This program is a powerful tool and added layer of support to ensure a smooth transition while fostering greater equity and access. It ensures all students have the opportunity to thrive and grow intellectually, spiritually, and personally, setting them up for success from day one.

Selected students will be notified by the Brebeuf Jesuit Admissions Office. This is an invitation-only program based on a holistic review of each student's application materials, including academic records and recommendations. Families will be contacted directly with an invitation to participate and more details about the program.
