Class of 2027 Waitlist Response

The Brebeuf Jesuit Admissions Committee was impressed by the quality of candidates applying to our school, and the number of applications we received exceeded the spots we could offer in the Class of 2027. To accept a place on our waitlist, please complete the form below. If you choose not to accept our waitlist offer, please use the same form to decline your spot.

Last year, we were able to offer a handful of students a spot on the waitlist, and the Brebeuf Jesuit enrollment team will be evaluating our school's enrollment capacity, class sizes, and waitlist applications throughout the spring and summer. It is important to know that we do not rank students on our waitlist. Our decision to admit students from the waitlist will depend entirely on the response rate to our initial offers of admission.

We recognize that you must likely respond to offers of admission from other schools, and we respect your position in that process. To provide more details about the waitlist process, see the FAQs below. Your interest in Brebeuf Jesuit is greatly valued, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility.

CLASS OF 2027 WAITLIST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why was I not offered admission?

The Brebeuf Jesuit Admissions Committee was impressed with the number of exceptional applicants in the Class of 2027. If you are on the waitlist, you met the admissions requirements and have a quality application portfolio. The admissions committee, composed of faculty, counselors, administrators, and clergy, holistically reviewed every application. While we will not share the specifics of acceptance or waitlist decisions, please know that this process of discernment was thorough and mission-focused.

Can I appeal my admission decision?

No. There is not an appeal process, and we cannot evaluate any new credentials or materials at this time.

Is the waitlist ranked?

No. We do not rank-order our waitlist in any way, and we cannot tell you what number or how high or low you are on the waitlist. If we are able to admit any students from the waitlist, we will re-evaluate all candidates who respond to our waitlist offer. We will not know how many students have responded to our waitlist offer until after the waitlist response deadline of February 24, 2023.

When will I know if I am admitted from the waitlist?

The Brebeuf Jesuit enrollment team will be reevaluating our ability to offer additional spots in the Class of 2027 throughout the spring and summer. If we are able to offer you admission from the waitlist, Colleen Cannon, Director of Enrollment Management, will reach out to you directly.

What can I do to improve my chances of being offered admission from the waitlist?

We ask our waitlist applicants to respond to our waitlist offer online by the date outlined in your waitlist offer letter. Additionally, you may submit any updated end of quarter or term report cards and standardized test scores to admissions@brebeuf.org.

Please do not submit any new letters of recommendation, writing samples, resumes, certificates, portfolios, videos, photos, or additional information. It is not necessary, and we want to be respectful of your time.

If I am offered admission, will I be considered for financial aid?

If we are able to offer you admission, we will consider you for need-based and merit-based financial aid, assuming you have already completed our required financial aid application. Financial aid applications will not be considered after admissions decisions have been shared and communicated. Here's a link to apply for financial aid, and please contact Melissa Grabowski at mgrabowski@brebeuf.org with any questions about the financial aid application process.
