Band and Orchestra
Optional Band and Orchestra Summer Homework Practice
All band and orchestra students are encouraged to practice throughout the summer and familiarize themselves with the music, part assignments, and recordings in preparation for the beginning of the year. This is not required summer homework, but by practicing and reviewing this music, it will help everyone to hit the ground running in the fall. Mr. Lee will be providing hard copies of all materials on the first day of class, so you do not need to print any of the provided resources.

AP US History – Tague and Wissing
This term review is not only an opportunity to review key concepts and themes, but it is also an exercise in historical analysis. Mastery of the course and AP exam await all who choose to process the information as they read/receive. Complete it in INK!
This is due on August 7, 2025 to either Mr. Tague or Ms. Wissing depending who your instructor is for APUSH.
AP World History - Mayer and Lanham
Students will be using their Ways of the World by Strayer (5th edition) textbook, to complete the readings.

AP Chemistry – Esteb
The summer assignment consists of a basic review of your first-year chemistry course, along with a few topics that may be new. Students will complete Unit 1: “Atomic Structure and Properties” as outlined by the College Board AP Chemistry Curriculum.
Completing this review is a great way to get a “feel” for how the topics in this course are organized and will help us be able to begin with some lab activities. If you find that tackling this review is too difficult or causes you an unusual amount of anxiety or stress, please reach out to me so we can talk about those feelings and how I can help you as we move forward. Please contact me through email if you have questions or concerns at resteb@brebeuf.org.

AP Bio - Sutton
The purpose of this summer assignment is to familiarize you with the format of the AP Biology exam and types of questions it contains, and to review some basic biology and chemistry concepts you have studied before.
This will allow us a jumpstart on our year and more time to cover the material. This assignment is designed for you to spend approximately 3 hours a week over a 6 week period on biology work. For some, it may take much less time, depending on one’s biology and chemistry background, reading speed, effort in creating notes, etc. There are due dates for each portion of the assignment.
While late work will be understood and accepted as everyone has different summer plans, your future self will thank you if you stick to the scheduled due dates. Please let Ms. Sutton know if you have any questions (jsutton@brebeuf.org).
