Applications for the Virtual STEM Research Program are now open!
Led by researchers at MIT, Caltech, and Stanford, the STEM Research Program introduces ambitious students to the cutting edge of your scientific field of interest. Students will work 1-on-1 with a PhD mentor and create an independent research project.
Explore cool topics like astrophysics, quantum mechanics, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, robotic control, game theory, genetic engineering, and many more!
Timeline
Week 1: Introduction to your mentor and align on a topic
Week 2-4: Explore the topic and identify the research question
Week 5-9: Compose research paper with 1-1 support from research mentor
Week 10-12: Complete final edits and submit the paper for final evaluation

Attention Junior Students and Families!
Each spring, Juniors have the option to take the ACT at school during the school day. For the Class of 2026, the ACT will be offered at Brebeuf on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 and costs $56. To register your student for the ACT test at Brebeuf on April 22, please complete this Google Form.
Registration for this exam will close on December 18, 2024.
If your student wants to take the ACT at school on April 22, and currently utilizes accommodations at school, those accommodations must be approved by ACT for this exam. Please contact Mrs.Rayven Ashworth, Dir. of School Counseling and Testing Accommodations Coordinator, to assist you with the accommodations process.
Interested students must register by January 28. More details can be found by clicking here.

2025 American Legion Auxiliary Hoosier Girls State
ALA Hoosier Girls State is a week-long program designed to educate Indiana's young women in the duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities of good citizenship. By getting involved in the process, ALA HGS delegates learn more about city, county, and state government in one week than they will in an entire semester of high school!
ALA Hoosier Girls State will begin its 83rd Session at Trine University in Angola, IN from June 22 - 28, 2025

2025 American Legion & the IDOE Hoosier Boys State
Hoosier Boys State is a program for boys going into their senior year of high school. It builds important real-world skills and leadership qualities in exceptional young men by creating a functional state government based on Indiana’s political process.
During this week-long program, they will actively collaborate to establish platforms for two made-up parties, participate in elections, propose laws, negotiate bills and enforce the established legislation from the local up to the state level.
The 86th Session of Hoosier Boys State will take place on June 15-21, 2025, and applications will become available on January 15, 2025.

The Minority Engineering Program of Indianapolis is accepting applicants for the 24-25 signature program that takes place on Saturdays. This is an incredible opportunity that has led to many connections and internships for students who have participated in the past. Interested students can share their interest with us here or apply to the program here. Applications are due by 10/1.

Marion County nominees must have a minimum GPA of 2.5; Hamilton County nominees must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Residents of Boone County may self-nominate through the Community Foundation of Boone County website. Residents of Hendricks County may self-nominate through the Hendricks County Community Foundation website. Please pay careful attention to each county’s deadline. Scholarship Updates
Brebeuf Jesuit is able to nominate 2 students residing in Marion County and 2 from Hamilton County for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship which provides four years of full tuition and a $900 per year book/equipment stipend for selected students planning to pursue an undergraduate degree at a public or private college or university in Indiana (room and board are not included). Marion County nominees must have a minimum GPA of 2.5; Hamilton County nominees must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Residents of Boone County may self-nominate through the Community Foundation of Boone County website. Residents of Hendricks County may self-nominate through theHendricks County Community Foundation website. Please pay careful attention to each county’s deadline.
