Study Skills

The Department of School Counseling is pleased to offer a study skills workshop for incoming freshmen. This two-day course is designed to help prepare students for the rigors of Brebeuf Jesuit and freshman year. In addition to study skills, students will learn transition skills, review their semester schedule, organization skills, become familiar with the campus and time management skills.  The workshop will help your student be prepared and ready to go the first day of school!

Please note this is not a required course, simply an additional offering the Department of School Counseling offers to our incoming freshmen.

Study Skills Workshop

The Study Skills Workshop prepares students with the basic tools and self-management skills a freshman needs to successfully navigate the first weeks of high school. Students will become familiar with the campus/class schedule, campus resources, organization strategies and begin to develop relationships with other incoming freshmen. This mini-class is ideal for students who are not participating in a summer school class.

The Study Skills Workshop will run July 30-31 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost of the class is $250.

For more information about the class, contact Rayven Ashworth, Director of School Counseling, at rashworth@brebeuf.org or 317.524.7108.
