Graduation Requirements

Brebeuf Jesuit Graduation Requirements

Our counselors ensure each student follows Brebeuf ’s graduation requirements, while tailoring their coursework to their interests and special abilities. Brebeuf ’s graduation requirements mirror, and with minimal adjustments, meet and even exceed the Indiana Academic Honors Diploma requirements.

State of Indiana Academic Honors Diploma Requirements 

In order to earn the Indiana Academic Honors Diploma, students must meet the Brebeuf Jesuit graduation requirements and the following state requirements:

Earn grades of “C” or above in each of the required courses.
Earn an overall grade point average of at least a 3.0 (“B”).
Complete at least one of the following:

  • AP courses equaling four (4) credits (two full-year AP courses or four one-semester AP courses) and corresponding AP exams.

  • Academic, transferable dual high school/college courses resulting in six (6) college credits.

  • AP courses equaling two (2) credits (one full-year AP course or two one-semester AP courses) and AP exam and academic, transferable dual high school/college courses resulting in three (3) college credits.

  • The student must earn a combined score of 1250 or higher on the SAT critical reading, mathematics and writing sections, with a minimum score of 560 on mathematics 590 on critical reading and writing.

  • Or, the student may earn an ACT composite score of 26 or higher with a complete written section.
