“Strategic Priorities:  A Framework for the Future”

...the three-year strategic plan that will guide the School’s ongoing efforts in the Jesuit tradition that will prepare students for the academic rigors of college and a lifetime of service and leadership as men and women for others

Brebeuf Jesuit is committed to the ongoing process of mission-driven formation, ensuring that our students and community continue to grow as men and women for others. By aligning our efforts with these strategic priorities, we will secure a future of excellence and service, grounded in the Jesuit tradition.

In collaboration with the Brebeuf Jesuit Board of Trustees, President Jim Power, and the School’s leadership team, these priorities were crafted to affirm our mission and outline strategic initiatives for the next three years. Guided by four defining pillars of excellence, it calls our school community to action in fulfilling our mission.

Enhance the Student Experience:
Academics, Co-Curriculars, College, Careers, and Leadership

Develop programs of academic and co-curricular excellence which are distinctive in their Jesuit educational approach; present a clear and inspiring vision; center curriculum and curriculum planning around a personalized, student-centered, research-based, and mission-driven set of priorities; consider the student experience and align faculty and staff with the best interests of each student; take an assessment-focused perspective, gauging schedule, curriculum, pedagogy, technology, student experience, and faculty culture; and use benchmarks to measure the promises made to students and families.

Cultivate Connectivity:
Student Belonging and Community Ties

Implement intentional practices both in the classroom and across the broader community to nurture a sense of belonging and foster a culture of connection aligned with our Jesuit mission. In light of the growing concerns surrounding adolescent mental health, Brebeuf Jesuit remains committed to supporting students through a dedicated team of professionals and a strong mental health support program to meet the evolving needs of our students.

Additionally, by creating new structures and systems that integrate community-building into the daily life of Brebeuf Jesuit—spanning students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and other community partners—we can deepen our sense of shared purpose and connection. Strengthening marketing and communication strategies will be key to ensuring that these efforts resonate effectively and achieve their full potential.

Advance our Culture:
Ignatian Formation and School Mission

As everything we attempt is grounded in a mission and set of core values rooted in an Ignatian approach and a Jesuit way of proceeding, the care of our mission and the formation of the members of our community for mission is of fundamental importance. Brebeuf Jesuit will be experienced and recognized as a community of kinship where all are welcomed and accepted.

Strengthen our Future:
Operational Excellence and Future Growth

Ensure financial stability through ongoing financial performance and cost management, growing endowment and evaluating opportunities to increase capital to support the strategic priorities of the School. Enhance the campus environment by undertaking physical plant and technology initiatives that will strengthen the student experience, influence programming and keep safety and operational efficiencies at the forefront of our efforts. As excellent faculty and staff are key to this effort, we will ensure that we have the structures in place that allow us to attract, develop and retain excellent faculty and staff.
