We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our dynamic Science Department. This is a full-time teaching position reporting to the Principal and the Science Department Chairperson. 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

(Note: The following list of responsibilities is not exhaustive. Others may be assigned, subject to reasonable accommodations.)

• Teach four sections of Chemistry, with additional duties to fulfill a full-time teaching load (five sections total).
• Design and implement engaging lab activities that promote inquiry, analysis, and creativity.
• Maintain lab safety protocols, equipment, and inventory.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Support students’ holistic development in partnership with counselors and support staff.
• Embrace and integrate technology in a 1:1 Bring Your Own Technology environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s extracurricular life.
• Model and teach in accordance with Ignatian educational principles and the “Grad at Grad” values

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field

PREFERRED

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field
• Indiana Teaching License in Chemistry
• Experience in diverse educational settings
• Familiarity with Jesuit education and values
