School Counseling
All counselors in our nationally recognized program hold a master’s degree and support students holistically during their high school careers in through the following notable support services: Academic Support, Organizational Skills, Study and Test-Taking Skills, Four-Year Plans, Individual Course Guidance, Verification of Diploma Tracks, Social and Emotional Support, Teach Freshman Seminar, a one-semester course covering various high school transition topics.

Scheduling Meetings with School Counselors
Our School Counseling staff is excited to work with incoming students and families during their four years at Brebeuf Jesuit. Scheduling Meetings with school counselors will be from April 7, 2026 - April 17, 2026. Incoming families are invited to register for a scheduling meeting with a school counselor for a 20-minute virtual meeting with students and their parents to discuss freshman schedules, learning support, and math and world language placement test options that are best for your student.

Incoming Freshman Course Request and Summer School Form
After enrolling, families work through the next steps for course placement and scheduling. To guide families through the process, we offer Curriculum Nights that provide the information you need to complete the following steps.
After Curriculum Night 1 on March 3, 2026, families must complete two action items: Course Request Form 1 and Register for Summer School. Course Request Form 1 will be available on the enrollment checklist in the Parent Portal, and summer school enrollment will open on March 5, 2026.
Course Request Form 1 will include:
- Advanced Course Placement Preferences for Honors English 9 and AP World History
- Learning Support and Learning Center
Please complete and submit Course Request Form 1 by March 16, 2026.
After Curriculum Night 2 on March 17, 2026, families must complete two action items: Course Request Form 2 and Register for Math and World Language Placement Tests. Course Request Form 2 and the placement test registration form will be available on the enrollment checklist in the Parent Portal.
Course Request Form 2 will include:
- World Language Preferences
- Elective Preferences
Please complete Course Request Form 2 by March 20, 2026.

Summer School for Incoming Freshmen
Registration for summer school opens on March 5, 2026, and more information about summer school will be shared at Curriculum Night 1 on March 3, 2026. Prior to registering for summer school, parents must create a PowerSchool Parent Portal Account. Class of 2030 families received their individual account information by email on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Summer school creates space in freshman schedules for electives and provides an opportunity for new students to get to know one another.
Options for incoming freshmen summer school courses include:
- Physical Education (PE)
- Introduction to Computer Science

Brebeuf ’s School Counseling team is also a Gold-Star Award recipient for excellence in Academic Counseling by the Indiana Department of Education.
