Corbin (Cory) Haffner ’91 has been named one of Indianapolis’ top "Forty Under 40” by the Indianapolis Business Journal. This prestigious award honors business and professional leaders in central Indiana who have excelled in their fields before the age of forty. Winners have demonstrated leadership, initiative and dedication in pursuing their careers, and are likely to continue to achieve success in the future.

Haffner is currently president and owner of HXR Imaging, an Indianapolis-area medical equipment sales, installation and services firm.

"Being named to the IBJ’s Forty Under 40 list is a great honor,” said Haffner. "What this group of individuals has achieved for their communities and the state of Indiana is truly amazing, and I’m extremely proud to be counted among them.”

Founded in 1967, HXR Imaging sells, installs and services digital and analog imaging equipment and a broad range of medical products. Haffner assumed the role of president of this family business in 2004. At that time, HXR Imaging (previously known as Haffner X-Ray) employed six and operated exclusively within Indiana. Since Haffner assumed leadership, the company has expanded to serve more than 30 states and has nearly doubled its staff. When the economy began to shift, Haffner introduced a recurring revenue model based on service contracts. In 2009 this revenue stream, along with product and service expansions in other areas of the business, helped the company maintain profitability.

At only 36, Haffner is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader. In addition to HXR Imaging he co-owns and holds executive roles with three additional companies that have extremely diverse business models and audiences. They range from startups to established companies, are both product- and service-based and serve a broad range of markets. Haffner is co-founder of Med-Plus, the largest multi-disciplinary, proactive healthcare provider in Tipton County, Indiana, apart from the local hospitals. He is also co-owner of Fikes Fresh Brands and Fikes Pest Control which sell, install and maintain a variety of air freshening and pest control products and services to consumer and commercial markets. Haffner’s four businesses have seen consistent growth over the past 18 months despite the economic downturn.

In addition to being a Brebeuf Jesuit graduate, Haffner received a management degree from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, and is a member of Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO), Indiana chapter. Haffner is a Noblesville native who currently lives in Noblesville with his wife and two daughters.
