The Brebeuf Jesuit Student Advocate provides counseling to help students who are going through difficult situations. Are you stressed-out, discouraged, having trouble with friendships, going through a break-up with your significant other, struggling with substance abuse, troubles at home, depression, anxiety, etc.? If so, you are welcome to drop by the Student Advocate’s Office, Room 275, in the Religion/Community Service hall. The Student Advocate is here to listen to your concerns, support you, and help you cope during challenging times. All conversations with students are strictly confidential unless there is a significant safety risk involved or other agreements are reached.
The Student Advocate conducts a variety of support groups throughout the year, with the help of student co-facilitators. Sometimes talking with people your own age who are in similar circumstances can be quite comforting. Group information is posted outside of room 275.
