Boys’ Tennis Knocks Off Brownsburg
The Braves defeated Brownsburg 4-1 on Friday. Brendan Bolander and Rusty Kowlowitz moved up to #1 doubles and won 6-0 in the third set. JV won 4-3. All doubles team's pulled it out lead by Colin Miller and Matt Markham.
Cross Country
The girls’ cross country team finished first place in the 2A division of the State Preview meet, dominating with 1-2 finish by Molly Winters and Rachel Whitman. Both ladies ran personal bests with Molly running 19:40, the second fastest time ever by a female Brebeuf runner! The boys’ team narrowly missed the victory by six points. Jason Hoard finishing in 1st place and John Krasich finishing in 3rd led the boys to a runner-up trophy.
Girls’ Golf
The Girls’ Golf Team finished third out of 12 teams at the Culver Academy meet, scoring a 400. Maggie Flynn was second overall, shooting an 85.
Boys’ Soccer Defeats Heritage Christian
The Varsity Boys’ Soccer team defeated Heritage Christian 1-0, with the lone goal coming from Robbie Corr. The JV knocked off the Eagles 5-0 with Michael Julovic, Konner Atkin, Elliot Reiff and Ian Hackett scoring the goals.
Girls’ Soccer Battles with Top-Ranked Teams
The Girls’ Soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie against top-ranked Zionsville on Friday evening at the Zionsville Invitational. The Braves then lost to eventual tournament champion Evansville Memorial 3-1 on Saturday.
Swimming Call-Out Meeting
There will be a call-out meeting on Tuesday, September 9 for any student wishing to participate in swimming this year. The meeting will begin at 3:45 p.m. in LGI 104.
Interested in Wrestling?
Any student who is interested in wrestling this season needs to meet with Mr. Marshall in the athletic department at some point next week.
Upcoming Events
The freshman and JV football teams will host Roncalli tonight, while the JV and Varsity soccer teams travel to Warren Central at 5:30 p.m.
