SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAMS
Competing in speech and/or debate is one of the best co-curricular activities your child can do as a high school student.  One would be hard-pressed to find another activity which has the benefits and future pay-offs of speech and debate while being fun at the same time!

Just a few of these benefits include:
•    having fun
•    meeting new people
•    increasing personal confidence
•    improving communication skills
•    improving critical thinking skills
•    improving research skills
•    qualifying for certain scholarships to colleges and universities
•    increasing desirability as a college applicant

ANYONE can participate in speech and debate.  Your child doesn’t have to have any experience or even be good at public speaking.  Speech and debate have something to offer everyone at every level.
