SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN

Applications are available upon acceptance at Brebeuf Jesuit.

Alumni Legacy Scholarship
Incoming freshmen who are children of a Brebeuf Jesuit graduate(s) are encouraged to apply for the Alumni Legacy Scholarship, awarded to one incoming freshman student each year.  In addition to being a legacy, a student must have scored at or above the 80th percentile (composite score) on the Entrance Exam and/or have at least a 3.0 GPA to be considered.  Academic and/or community awards, honors, and achievements are also considered.  A student remains eligible for scholarship renewal each year by maintaining a 3.0 GPA. *

Mildred S. Compton Memorial Scholarship
The Mildred S. Compton Memorial Scholarship is awarded to up to three incoming freshmen each year.  To be eligible, a student must have scored at or above the 90th percentile (composite score) on the Entrance Exam and have grades from the 7th/8th grade years averaging at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.  This scholarship is renewable annually by maintaining a 3.0 GPA.  *

DeHaan Endowed Scholarship
Incoming freshmen are invited to apply for the DeHaan Endowed Scholarship, awarded to one student each year.  To be eligible, a student must have a cumulative middle school GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.  This scholarship is renewable annually by maintaining a 2.5 GPA.  *

Fred B. McCashland Endowed Scholarship
Named for a former Brebeuf Jesuit teacher and Interim President, the Fred B. McCashland Endowed Scholarship is awarded to one incoming freshman student each year.  To be eligible for this scholarship a student must have scored at or above the 90th percentile (composite score) on the Entrance Exam and have grades from the 7th/8th grade years averaging at least 3.67 on a 4.0 scale.  This scholarship is renewable annually by maintaining a 3.0 GPA.  *

Margaret & John Scheetz Family Endowed Scholarship
The student selected for the Scheetz Family Scholarship shall be an incoming freshman who has declared his/her faith as Catholic, and can demonstrate that s/he is practicing that faith.  The student selected must intend to seek higher education after high school and visibly live the mission of Brebeuf Jesuit.  This scholarship may be renewed on an annual basis.  *

Jean de Brebeuf Tuition Awards
In honor of our namesake, Brebeuf Jesuit provides up to four tuition awards to incoming freshmen each year.  Students from Indianapolis Deanery schools are eligible for consideration.  Awards are presented at the 8th grade graduation ceremonies. 

Jean de Brebeuf Book Awards
In addition to tuition awards, Brebeuf Jesuit also provides up to four book awards to incoming freshmen from private schools each year.  The book awards are also presented at the 8th grade graduation ceremonies. 
Note:  Scholarships noted with an asterisk (*) require the completion of the financial aid application during the freshman application or current student reenrollment process.  Several such scholarships are intended for middle income families.
