Retreats
The Brebeuf Jesuit retreat program is designed to give students at each grade level opportunities to develop themselves spiritually by recognizing God in the ordinary people and events of their lives. Faculty and staff are encouraged to sign up to be retreat leaders, an experience that is personally rewarding and enriches our students in their faith journey.

Retreat Offerings

  • Freshman Retreat "Loving"
The Freshman Retreat is an opportunity for students to share their experiences with each other in a religiously supportive atmosphere.  A team of faculty members and seniors lead the freshmen in this exercise, a combination of fun times, serious times, working, and praying together.

  • Sophomore Retreat "Open to Growth"
This retreat is similar to the Freshman Retreat in that it continues to develop an appreciation for the presence of God in everyday life.

  • Junior Retreat "Finding God in all things"
The Junior Retreat focuses upon interpersonal relationships and God’s active role within those relationships, while building on the foundations of the Freshman Retreat and Sophomore Retreat.

  • Kairos Retreat "Faithful to God"
These three-day retreats adapted from Cursillio are available to juniors and seniors.

  • Ignatian Retreat
Seniors who wish to further their own relationship with God through an experience based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola are invited to participate in an Ignatian Retreat.  This retreat experience includes individual meetings with a spiritual director and periods of intensive personal prayer.
