Benefits Information

Health Insurance – Full time employees are eligible to enroll on the first day of the first month following hire date. Open enrollment for those full time employees already on staff is held annually during the month of September. Those wishing to enroll or add family members to their plan must do so at that time. Please direct questions to the H.R. office.

Health and Vision- (Note: Brebeuf pays the other 70% of your health and vision premiums.

Dental InsuranceOptional at employee's expense

Anthem Life Insurance- $10,000 life insurance (Eligible if working 30 or more hours/weekly)

Prescriptions: Generic drugs will be the least expensive, followed by formulary, with non-formulary being the mostexpensive. Keep in mind that the list of formulary drugs changes periodically.

Tip: Employees using Anthem insurance should take advantage of the anthem.com website, where you can view information about your account, find out how to order prescriptions by mail, and much more.

403(B) Retirement Plan – A benefit available to all employees working half time or more, once they begin their second year: Brebeuf will contribute 5% of base salary to a retirement account as long as employee contributes a set percentage (minimum of 3%) to receive the school match. Employees may start this service or make changes to their contribution level at any time during the year, obtaining a form from H.R.

Cafeteria Plan: Brebeuf Jesuit offers a § 125 "cafeteria” plan under which eligible employees may elect (1)to have certain insurance premiums deducted from their pay on a pre-tax basis and (2)to establish medical and/or dependent care flexible spending accounts. All employees eligible for health insurance through Brebeuf Jesuit may utilize the flexible spending accounts program, but must complete the paperwork during the specified enrollment time in order to participate.

Cigna items offered at no charge to eligible employees (working 20 hrs. or more per week):

  • Long Term Disability Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
  • Cigna Life Insurance: @ 1 x annual salary rounded to nearest $1,000, + $10,000
  • Voluntary Term Life Insurance is also available (at a cost to the employee).
