Expectation of academic excellence is a hallmark of Brebeuf Jesuit. Strong academic performance and potential are among our most significant admissions criteria. In addition, because Jesuit education focuses on developing the whole person, we look strongly at co-curricular and non-school activities as well as less tangible evidence of an applicant's qualities. Brebeuf Jesuit searches for individual students who have meaningful potential to become a Brebeuf Jesuit "Graduate-at-Graduation”: one who is open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, loving and committed to doing justice. In this search, Brebeuf Jesuit looks for the following in its applicants:
- Intellectual breadth and depth in academics
- Service experience, such as volunteer work, social service, etc.
- Religious/spiritual experience, such as church/synagogue involvement or other commitments within formal or informal religious bodies, retreats, etc.
- Co-curricular experience, such as sports, music, art, speech or drama
- Positive character traits, including initiative, creativity, originality, commitment, leadership and values
